Ms. Marie
As a lesson teacher, Marie has 25 years’ experience instructing piano at all levels, holds a Master’s degree from the University of St. Thomas-Minneapolis, and is a lifelong student of music. With a strong music background as an accompanist and instrumentalist, plus enhanced focus on music theory (including experience with a variety of additional instruments), Marie is happy to work with each student as an individual to develop lessons tailored to each student’s specific needs, goals, skills and expectations.
Ms Marie LOVES teaching piano and students LOVE her lessons! Her full-service studio features two acoustic grand pianos plus two practice rooms, each with additional electronic pianos – all allowing many creative possibilities in a friendly, fun, relaxed, yet professional environment.
Ms Marie’s high-quality lessons encompass the opportunity for students to learn about the world of music, including composers, recital-participation, occasional concert-experience field trips, and so much more – while enjoying a wide variety of repertoire – from classical to jazz to pop and everything in between.
If your student is in band or orchestra (or will be joining soon), signing up for piano lessons is a win-win! It’s a fact that students in piano lessons not only perform better in academics–piano instructions boosts and strengthen skills in both areas. Ms Marie teaches with band directors in mind! (Chances are, she even knows your band director, having served in the community as a school volunteer, parent, scout leader & lesson teacher for many years).
